Caterpillar's Power & Energy segment is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team.
Our Power & Energy segment has a broad portfolio of products and services - which include engines, generator sets, industrial gas turbines, along with other related equipment depending on the industry and application. We deliver these products and services to Cat machine, oil & gas, power generation, and industrial customers. Power & Energy is also developing the advanced power sources of the future and is working on many solutions to help our customers lower their carbon footprint.
This position will offer you the opportunity to provide financial planning, analysis, and reporting support to a fast-paced, innovative, and growing global organization. This role will encourage you to demonstrate and develop your communication, presentation, and financial analysis skills, along with providing avenues to interact regularly with senior management within Power & Energy and other groups throughout the enterprise.
What You Will Do:
Provide Axiom system support, including loading and validating Actuals, Forecasts, and Restatements.
Maintain and enhance Axiom templates, including the creation of new templates as business needs evolve.
Support divisional users with Axiom-related questions, troubleshooting, and reporting needs.
Lead monthly, quarterly, annual reporting & forecasting for services metrics, includes Services Revenue, Aftermarket STU, eCommerce, TCRA, and PSE CM.
Support Enterprise Reporting
Own preparation and support of the GP Scorecard on a monthly and annual basis.
Support quarterly earnings.
Communicating effectively within the team and with internal customers and data providers, including presentations to all levels of management
Proactively interacting with internal customers to develop, understand and manage customer requirements and expectations
What You Have:
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent, and 8+ years of experience
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
What Will Set You Apart:
Axiom (template creation / report generation) , Power BI (dashboard creation & maintenance), SAP: Business Planning and Consolidations - BPC (report creation) , SAP: BOBJ, Experience w/ SQL
Strong analytical, process improvement and problem-solving skills.
Proven record of strong initiative, leadership, accountability, change management and effective communication skills working with a global team.

This position is located in Irving, TX
International and Domestic travel up to 10%

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
