Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Material Handlers. The role is essential in ensuring the smooth movement and management of materials within the plant. This position offers the opportunity to start on the 1st shift for training and transition to the 2nd shift, which includes a pay differential.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of material handling and inventory control tasks, including receiving raw material deliveries, preparing materials for production, and transporting materials within the warehouse.

Utilize both manual and power equipment safely and efficiently to handle materials.

Maintain accurate inventory through precise work assignments and computer transactions.

Conduct visual inspections of all materials to ensure quality standards are met.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, reporting any unsafe conditions to supervisors.

Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external contacts such as vendors and truck drivers.

Receive, unpack, and verify materials against purchase orders, checking for accuracy and any damages.

Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

Experience with sit-down forklift operation.

Basic computer skills for inventory management.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of a high school education.

One year of experience in a related area.

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and standing for long periods.

Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glen Rock, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
