Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary:
The Market Ethics & Compliance Liaison (ECO) provides market-level ethics and compliance leadership and coordination across assigned facilities. Working under the direction of the Division Ethics & Compliance Officer (DECO), the role partners with dual-role ECOs and market leadership to ensure consistent execution of the HCA Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Program: training and awareness, investigations, auditing and monitoring, reporting and response, and program improvement. The position conducts targeted reviews and mock audits, supports Facility Ethics & Compliance Committee (FECC) operations, coordinates market-wide risk mitigation, and serves as a resource to facility leadership-promoting a culture that encourages reporting without fear of retaliation.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement and support the Ethics & Compliance Program across assigned facilities in alignment with Division priorities.
Maintain and communicate current knowledge of the Code of Conduct, E&C policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Support FECCs, including preparation, minutes and action item follow-up
Manage Ethics Line Cases-investigate or reassign as needed and ensure timely resolution, documentation and trend analysis.
Support facilities in managing and reporting Reportable Issues.
Support E&C monitoring and rounding (e.g., EMTALA, access to care, physician relationships, business courtesies) and drive remediation of any identified issues.
Coordinate the Conflict of Interest process, review disclosures and support development and tracking of mitigation plans.
Monitor completion of required training and support targeted education for leaders, physicians and staff.
Serve as liaison between facilities and division E&C on program implementation, tools, guidance and initiatives.
Coordinate market-level E&C communications and engagement (e.g., Compliance Week, board updates)
Other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
(CHC-CCB) Certified in Healthcare Compliance must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
Bachelors Degree; Master's Degree preferred
7+ years' work experience required
3-5+ years' experience with corporate compliance programs and healthcare laws/regulations
Director-level leadership experience preferred
