Medical Technician | Lab Services

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Technician to join our laboratory team in Englewood, FL. This is a full-time, night-shift position designed for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing timely, accurate diagnostic information for superior patient care.

Role Overview

Location: Englewood, FL

Shift: Full-time | Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Salary Range: $22.39 - $31.34 per hour (Based on experience)

Specialty: Lab Tech - Generalist

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will perform clinical laboratory testing and analyze samples to support a vast network of acute care and rehab hospitals. Key duties include:

Laboratory Testing: Perform accurate and timely clinical testing, including proficiency samples, within established timeframes.

Diagnostic Integrity: Utilize independent judgment to correlate and interpret results, performing delta checks and resolving critical or problematic specimens.

Workflow Management: Monitor pending (OSR) and result logs to ensure all workload is completed or properly transitioned to relief staff.

Quality Control: Execute QC procedures per protocol and maintain all required documentation for patient results.

Operational Support: Assume departmental responsibility in the absence of a supervisor and prioritize "stat" procedures to meet turnaround targets.

Qualifications

Education: Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology preferred.

Licensure: State of Florida Technologist License is required.

Specialty Certification: Licensure in one or more clinical areas (Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, or Microbiology). Generalists are highly preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Technician is preferred.

Pay Details: $22.39 to $31.34 per hour
