The Opportunity:
A Human Resources Coordinator will exceed the expectations of all Bunkhouse guests in a multitude of tasks that include, but are not limited to, assisting the Director of Human Resources with personnel matters, benefit administration, policy interpretation, payroll administration, property support and various Human Resource administrative duties.
The person having this position must possess good communication skills, have the ability to resolve conflict, and possess a thorough understanding of Bunkhouse policies. A Human Resources Coordinator must develop and maintain the company's culture, values and reputation in the public eye, and with all staff, guests, vendors and partners.

The Role:
A Human Resources Coordinator will exceed the expectations of all Bunkhouse guests in a multitude of tasks that include, but are not limited to, assisting the Director of Human Resources with personnel matters, benefit administration, policy interpretation, payroll administration, property support and various Human Resource administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, training material, memos and verbal instruction
Resolve property inquiries regarding Human Resources operations
Perform customer service functions by answering employee, manager and customer requests and questions
Translate documents and interpret meetings and phone calls as necessary to support properties
Review all Bunkhouse property's biweekly payroll submissions
Act as the Bunkhouse Payroll Administrator. This includes, but is not limited to, processing Bunkhouse payroll, opening and closing cases, building reports, maintain employee and manager access, train properties on procedures, maintain training documents, etc.
Assist in processing property background screenings and final hiring decisions in accordance with FCRA regulations and process BH background screenings
Hold benefit meetings with eligible BH employees and enter new enrollments in HR systems
Responsible for I9 Compliance at all properties
Maintain awareness of documentation needed and retained in employee files
Assist in policy interpretation
Assist in payroll, benefit and other HR program audits and recommend corrective action
Ensure employee reviews are conducted accurately and in a timely manner through monthly audits and follow-up
Enforce Human Resource guidelines and property expectations set forth by the Director of Human Resources
Assist in legal reporting obligations including, but not limited to OSHA, 401k, annual healthcare census, EEOC, Office of the Attorney General Requests, etc.
Respond to all unemployment requests in a timely manner
Schedule and attend unemployment hearings with property managers
Accurately enter and manage employee wage garnishments
Verify employment requests
Submit HSA and 401k contributions on a bi-weekly basis
Audit services hours on a bi-weekly basis and notify properties when employees are eligible for a bonus.
Audit average worked hours on a bi-weekly basis and verify benefit eligibility
Notify employees of 401k eligibility on a quarterly basis
Schedule and facilitate new employee orientations in English and Spanish, and schedule meetings and interviews as requested by Director of HR.
Prepare monthly insurance bill allocations with all carriers
Schedule and plan conferences, team building and volunteer events, and biannual employee appreciation parties
Prepare and maintain Bunkhouse employee files
Schedule and conduct onboarding paperwork for Bunkhouse employees
Make photocopies, fax documents, prepare correspondence, complete expense reports and other clerical functions as needed
Ensure open lines of communication with staff, all departments and upper management at all times via email, logbooks, meetings, etc., to ensure all needs of the properties are met
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area
Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good, safe working condition
Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the property
Keep abreast of safety and emergency procedures and OSHA requirements and hold properties and staff accountable.
Attend relevant meetings
Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED), College Degree preferred
Two (2) years related experience in the Human Resources or related Administrative fields.
Must be fluent in Spanish
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and sister property staff
Ability to create documents in Excel and Word
Ability to understand other computer programs (i.e. Property Management System, Payroll and HRIS systems)
Ability to apply concepts of math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and algebra, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Must maintain confidentiality, remain open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
