St Ignace Hotels LLC d/b/a Holiday Inn Express Lakefront in St. Ignace, MI has openings for 5 full time temporary housekeepers, $16.00 to $17.00/hr ($24.00 to $25.50/hr O.T.) from 5/15/2026 to 10/31/2026. Duties include: Cleaning guestrooms and public areas of the hotel. Making beds, vacuuming, dusting, etc., collect dirty laundry and restock linens load washing machines and fold dried items. Stocking of storage areas and work carts.

1 mo. exp. req. The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and the level of business at the hotel but will generally be 5 days per week with rotating days off. The employer is open 7 days per week. Housekeepers will work 5 days per week 8:00am - 5:00pm and will receive rotating days off but must be available to work all shifts. Approximately 40 hours per week with some overtime. The worksite is located at 965 N State St. St Ignace, MI.

This posting is being made in connection with an application for H-2B workers.

Workers are paid every two weeks. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law but will make no other deductions. Raises and bonuses available based on performance or length of service with the employer. In addition to the hourly wage, housekeepers may receive tips directly from guests. Discounted meals available for employees. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.

Work tools, supplies and equipment will be provided without charge or deposit.

If required by prevailing law the employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees) incurred by the worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.

Employer does have a limited number of optional shared housing units available for rent by seasonal workers at a cost to the worker of $20.00 per week. Use of employer provided housing is not a condition of employment. The employer does not provide transportation to the worksites during the term of employment although they are within walking distance of the housing.

Department of Labor and Department of Homeland Security regulations. If any such prevailing law is rescinded, superseded, vacated, or substantially modified, then the employer will accordingly revise any affected term.
