Location: Norcross, GA (On-site; potential hybrid flexibility)
Compensation: $85,000-$120,000 base salary

About the Opportunity
We are seeking Procurement & Manufacturing Training professional!
We are open to either Supervisor or Manager level candidates at this time. The team is eager to bring on a strong technical leader who can balance blood banking expertise, GMP manufacturing oversight, and training leadership in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
This position is on-site in Norcross, GA, working closely with an established manufacturing and biologics team.
Position Overview
This role blends biologics procurement, blood product supply management, GMP manufacturing compliance, and training leadership .
The Manager will:
Oversee sourcing and inventory management of red blood cells and other blood products for manufacturing.
Ensure supply stability while maintaining stringent quality specifications.
Lead manufacturing training initiatives for new hires and cross-training of current staff.
Supervise departmental personnel and oversee daily operational activities.
Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 13485, and regulatory standards for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) manufacturing.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong communication skills, scientific depth, and operational decisiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Biologics Procurement & Supply Management
Manage procurement and inventory levels of red blood cells and related biologics.
Maintain supplier relationships and ensure product quality specifications are met.
Monitor supply stability and mitigate risk during shortages.
Oversee documentation and compliance related to biologics sourcing.
Manufacturing Training Leadership
Develop and execute GMP-compliant training programs.
Conduct and document competency assessments.
Lead onboarding and cross-training initiatives across:
Cell Processing
Monoclonal Production
Production Support
Controlled Components
Solid Phase Manufacturing
Vialing & Packaging
Maintain training documentation aligned with audit and regulatory expectations.
GMP & Regulatory Oversight
Ensure adherence to GMP and ISO 13485 standards.
Review SOPs and controlled documents.
Support audit readiness and regulatory inspections.
Oversee documentation integrity, CAPAs, and compliance activities.
Leadership & Team Management
Provide direct supervision, scheduling, and performance management of team members.
Conduct interviews and performance evaluations.
Support a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related scientific field.
1-3+ years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment (medical device, biologics, or IVD).
Strong technical foundation in blood banking, transfusion services, or immunohematology.
Supervisory or team leadership experience.
Experience working in ISO 13485 or medical device manufacturing environment.
Highly Preferred
SBB (Specialist in Blood Banking) certification.
5-7 years of blood bank or transfusion service experience (for strong supervisor-level candidates).
Experience in IVD manufacturing.
Experience managing deviations, SOPs, and training documentation.
