Responsibilities
As an APRN or PA with Ascension Seton Neurosurgery, you will evaluate emergency department patients, manage admitted neurosurgical patients in a hospital setting, see patients in outpatient clinic, and assist in neurosurgical cases in the operating room. You will be based out of Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital.

Acute Care Certification is preferred for all NP applicants at the time of application
APRN-First Assist Certification preferred and required to obtain within one year of start date
Responsibilities:
Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
Master's degree of Nursing required.
