Summary Serves as an Advanced Medical Support Assistant in the Audiology and Speech Pathology Service at the Columbus Veterans Affairs Ambulatory Care Center. Performs duties related to the receipt, intake, and indexing of health and administrative information. Interfaces with personal computer (PC) applications as well as numerous EHR applications. Responsibilities Provides specialized and expert administrative patient support while working works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model. Work involves specialized administrative judgment and the flexible use of a wide range of clinical flow processes relating to access to care across multiple clinics, specialties, and/or care in the community resources. Recommends changes to existing clinic procedures based on current administrative guidelines.
