Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in North Caldwell, New Jersey. In this contract position, you will play a key role in supporting scholarship-related processes by reviewing applications, maintaining databases, and assisting with committee preparations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an organized, multitasking environment.

Responsibilities:

Review scholarship applications and their accompanying documents for accuracy and completeness.

Verify eligibility criteria for scholarship applicants to ensure compliance with program requirements.

Maintain and update the scholarship database with relevant applicant information.

Assemble and organize materials for the Scholarship Selection Committee to facilitate scoring and evaluations.

Provide support for additional scholarship-related tasks as needed.

Handle administrative duties such as answering inbound calls and managing receptionist responsibilities.

Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently to support team operations.

Assist in maintaining a structured and organized office environment.

Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills.

Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative processes.

Effective communication skills for handling calls and correspondence.

Previous experience in administrative assistance or related roles is a plus.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Familiarity with data entry and maintaining structured records.
