Job Title: Electrical Engineer - IndustrialJob Description
We are seeking a talented Electronics Engineer to join our team, responsible for the research, analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, and modification of electronics equipment for the commercial aerospace industry. This includes VFMDs for vacuum generators and air compressors, AC/DC Power Converters, 28V DC Valve Controllers, and System Controllers. The Sr. Electronics Engineer will lead technical engineering teams and projects, ensuring robust, airworthy designs that meet budget, schedule, and internal requirements.
Responsibilities
Analyze customer requirements and validate them through analysis, modeling, prototyping, or previous product performance.
Create and maintain hardware requirements specifications and hardware interface control documents.
Perform SPICE analysis of circuits using Altium/OrCAD PSPICE tools.
Utilize MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and generating control algorithms.
Analyze and design magnetics for EMI filters, boost/buck inductors, and other input/output filters.
Select components and manage obsolescence.
Design circuits and capture schematics using Altium/OrCAD tools.
Create hardware design documents covering design analysis, notes, and guidelines.
Provide inputs for PCB layout design.
Perform worst-case load analysis (DC Load Analysis) on circuit designs.
Conduct component derating and thermal analysis.
Analyze design performance margin.
Conduct PCB board bring-up according to circuit design.
Create PCB board-level functional test procedures per circuit functional blocks.
Develop design verification test procedure (DVTP) documents.
Test electronics hardware to ensure requirements are met and generate test reports (DVTR).
Independently find or create solutions to complex problems requiring research and creativity.
Review and process engineering changes in system and equipment development.
Utilize technical problem-solving to support ongoing and new products.
Ensure designs meet airworthiness standards, customer requirements, and internal standards.
Conduct research and testing for new developments.
Present technical findings and conduct trade studies.
Assess and create standard work, leading or supporting improvement projects.
Lead or own small/medium-sized projects, reviewing and approving work by peers and lower-level engineers.
Provide guidance and training to lower-level engineers.
Interface with existing and new suppliers and OEM customers.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent.
5+ years of electronics experience, with mixed signal design experience preferred.
Strong analysis/modeling skills using electrical circuit simulation tools like PSPICE and system-level simulation tools like PSIM/MATLAB/Simulink.
Superior design skills in analog and digital control systems, DC-DC converters, active rectifiers, gate drives, voltage/current sensor circuits, and EMI filter designs.
Hands-on experience with design/simulation tools such as Altium/OrCAD, MATLAB/Simulink, PSIM, PSPICE, and test equipment like programmable power supplies, high-speed digital oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
Design-level understanding of communication protocols such as CAN, ARINC, SPI, and RS-232.
Experience applying aerospace regulations, such as DO-160 and DO-254 guidelines to electronics designs.
Knowledge of major aerospace OEM electronics design guidelines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
