Garrett County Community Actions Asset Development and Service Coordination Departments are seeking a Administrative Assistant to join our team at our main office in Oakland, MD. This position helps ensure smooth day-to-day operations by supporting staff, maintaining accurate records, assisting with client documentation, and providing general office support in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

KeyResponsibilities:

Provide administrative support to department staff, including scheduling, filing, copying, scanning, and data entry.

Assist with maintaining client files, program documentation, and electronic record systems.

Answer and direct phone calls and greet clients in a professional and respectful manner.

Support intake and referral processes by organizing paperwork and assisting staff as needed.

Maintain confidentiality of client and agency information at all times.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

High school diploma or GED required; additional administrative or office training preferred

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

Compensation and Schedule:

Part-time 25 hours per week Monday through Friday, 10am-3pm preferred at GCCAC main offices in Oakland.

Starting wage $15.56 per hour
