Overview
The Sr. Director of Marketing Communications is the driving force behind Hussmann's external brand voice and market presence. This leader develops and delivers strategic marketing and communications programs that strengthen brand equity, amplify our innovation story, and position Hussmann as an industry leader in products, services, technology, and solutions.
This role turns strategy into market impact. The Sr. Director ensures flawless execution of marketing and communications initiatives that fuel sales growth, elevate brand reputation, and build lasting customer relationships. From brand storytelling and advertising to PR, media, digital platforms, video production, experiential events, and trade engagement, this leader shapes how the company shows up across every external touchpoint.
Responsibilities
Manage the Marketing team and related vendor partners to optimize performance and results. In addition, will manage the Technical Publications group and is responsible for the consistent and timely development and maintenance of technical documents, drawings, renderings, photos, videos and animations that are often essential to the sale of Hussmann products.
Develop and manage the budgets for the above.
Direct the development and execution of North American marketing communications initiatives including product launches, sales collateral, trade shows, campaigns, social site presence, Company website, public relations, internal communication, regulatory communications, and Company events.
Establish and implement a strategic internal and external communications strategy that positively affects employees and customers understanding, engagement and commitment with the result of an even stronger connection to the Company and leads to a return on investment.
Ensure new communication campaigns and programs are aimed at reaching sales targets with targeted KPIs.
Ensure Hussmann's brand is communicated consistently and accurately throughout the organization and the marketplace, working with Company leaders to maintain all corporate-wide branding, positioning and messaging.
Responsible for designing, maintaining and executing enterprise digital experiences on Hussmann websites and on a social program (blogging, LinkedIn, Google+, etc.) that aligns with broader quarterly themes and programs, in an effort to extend and amplify our reach, along with more engagement in support of awareness and driving marketing qualified leads.
Direct the development and placement of advertising and publicity.
Actively lead, build and manage the Communications team to produce high quality Company publications and materials on time and with budget.
Determine projects which should be completed internally and externally. Manage relationships with outside vendors as necessary.
Responsible for supporting various internal communications programs, including sales meetings, leadership meetings, and other sales communications to help create alignment around relevant goals, strategies and tactics, share information and enhance teamwork.
Drive proactive continual process improvements and implement best practices to manage project efficiently.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key reporter/editors from trade and media.
Manage complex contract negotiations and work with Legal Counsel as required.
Qualifications
Director I
Bachelor's Degree required, Masters Preferred
10+ years of demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing communications; w/ 3+ years executing a social program.
? Director II
Bachelor's Degree required, Masters Preferred
15 + years of demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing communications; w/ 5+years executing a social program.
Proven experience developing and managing budgets, hiring, training, developing, and supervising.
Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
