The Sales Operations Manager will work with the Chief Growth Officer and the Sales Management Team and will be the key point of contact for supporting customers in all sales channels. In this role you will support our Retail, Foodservice, Ingredients, Contract Manufacturing, DSD Sales, and Customer Relations leaders. You will help execute the strategy by assisting in the creation of our sales forecast, allocations, and promotions calendars. You will also serve as a liaison to our HQ cross functional teams to help update them on strategy and execution.
In this position you will interface with many departments across our company and will serve as the key liaison between Sales and Customer Relations, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Finance, Project Management, Quality teams.
The ideal candidate should be extremely knowledgeable on bill of material pricing, material handling, forecasting, B2B customer portals and logistics.
Position Details
Our Sales Operations Manager will be a key internal point of contact for our sales team and will interact daily with our Sales Leaders. You will also interact with our key customers via e-mail, on the phone, and from time to time in person (2-3x per year).
The person in this role will be expected to build relationships with key contacts internally and externally including with our key reseller customers, brokers, and 3rd Party logistics and warehouse teams.
Key Position Responsibilities
Work closely with the Sales leaders to communicate fulfillment schedules, product lifecycles and promotions to customers and sales reps.
Extremely knowledgeable of national retailer logistics requirements, as you will work closely with our Operations team and 3rd Party Logistics providers to ensure orders are fulfilled within customer routing guide and service level requirements.
You will work within trade and multiple sales systems to ensure compliance, accuracy and consistency while looking for efficiency, automation, and process improvement.
The right candidate should understand product inventory needs and effectively utilize product availability information when processing orders and communicating with customers and our sales team. With this insight you will convey product allocation decisions made by our sales leaders to our warehouse allocations team so they may release orders to our key customers in a timely process.
Monitor updates to forecast based on the sales strategy and promotions to ensure alignment with IBP team.
In this newly created role, the team will look to the Sales Operations Manager to help establish and streamline policies and procedures throughout the department, support best practices in sales forecasting, reporting, and communications. Additionally, your responsibilities would include data analysis, reporting, planning, and sales process optimization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Track and analyze key metrics - pipeline growth, sales budget attainment, customer retention.
Collect, consolidate, and generate weekly sales forecasts (month, quarter focus, 12 month) and roll up each week's numbers to Sales Management.
Compile key pieces of information related to performance against sales objectives to be reviewed by Management and report approved plans to Demand Planner for processing.
Proactively analyzes win-loss data and reports on key findings to sales leadership.
Ensuring sales managers have access to key data required to successfully manage the business.
Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.
Pricing communication updates to customers.
Ensure accuracy of sales trade management system.
Continually review sales processes to ensure compliance and adoption of established business practices and delivering on KPI's (i.e., order fulfillment).
Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
EDI proficiency
Implement and manage returns reduction plan with customer strategy, customer development and third-party vendors.
Perform other duties as required.
Experience & Education Required:
Minimum of (10) years combined in customer service and sales analysis experience including a minimum of 2 years of management/supervisory responsibility.
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are critical.
A desire to excel and work in a dynamic, supportive environment that values teamwork.
Excellent business and interpersonal communication skills
Production planning.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.); strong knowledge of Excel.

Knowledge experience of using financial modelling and analytical tools.

Management Responsibility
All Sales Operations Specialists II. This position works under the general direction of the Chief Growth Officer and has discretion and authority to make decisions within a broad scope of guidelines, set policy and procedure, and make decisions on behalf of the Company to support the sales objectives.
Work Environment
Fast paced office environment. Must be able to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, computer, calculator, etc.) Majority of work time spent sitting at desk, or in meetings.
Travel Required: Less than 5% of time.
Pay: $90,000 - $110,000 a year
The salary range listed for this position represents the good faith and reasonable minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, training, knowledge, education, and overall qualifications. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.
