Summary:

Champion Home Builders is a leader in off-site construction, offering customers solutions from single family homes to large scale commercial buildings - all built in a controlled factory setting and then assembled onsite. Champion is seeking an experienced and reliable construction professional to join and provide leadership to the team. The Estimator will be responsible for estimating and preparing proposal for projects related to the set and trim out of homes. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this position are outlined below. Other duties may be assigned.

Mentor estimators in training on all aspects of estimator responsibilities

Work as dotted line connection to the Project Manager(s) and Project Superintendents.

Develop estimates and proposals for our customers, communicate as needed and coordinate proper sign offs.

Call on the retailer/builders to develop working relationships and market services.

Develop Estimate for the cost of services and create proposals with documents for contract execution.

The Estimates will be developed using our current proposal tools for both company employee performed services and subcontractor performed services.

Review and vet subcontractor estimate and proposal, negotiate as needed and coordinate their details into our Proposals to be sure scopes of work are clear and concise for our customers to review and sign for approval.

Build and maintain market analysis to gain intimate knowledge of market conditions CCS

Prepare budgets and distribute to team for production

Review actual invoice amounts compared to budget - address pricing variances with teams

Responsible for creating and maintaining job files in accordance with CCS policy

Maintain customer and estimating information in Job Log (system)

Perform any other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Ability to properly manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Clear verbal and written communication skills to demonstrate and convey a thorough understanding of the entire development process.

Must possess a strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft Project and be able to develop accurate budget report, spreadsheets, correspondence, schedules and other reporting as required.

Verbal and written communication skills to audiences both inside and outside the company.

Strong leadership and follow-up skills, with a "hands on" approach to completing all projects in a timely and efficient manner.

Must possess confidence and enthusiasm to network and promote services.

Education and/or Experience:

Five or more years of directly related experience and/or training; Related 2-year degree from an accredited university or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
