Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Team ensures product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards and supports daily and long term production needs to deliver a quality product. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will guide their team to ensure that products and manufacturing processes are developed to meet customer needs. Interactions in this position cross several functional and regional boundaries. These interactions would include working with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality at the local and global levels.
Job Requirements
Responsible for developing and leading Manufacturing Engineering team in supporting manufacturing and development initiatives
Responsibility to make decisions related to product quality, including the disposition of non-conforming product and deviations.
Develop and implement manufacturing engineering programs and standards to achieve manufacturing goals
Ensures compliance to the safety quality management systems in all activities are performed.
Proactively assure implementation and documentation of corrective/preventive actions.
Provide guidance/instruction as to appropriate and effective data collection and analysis to promote prevention of defects and continuous improvements.
Represent the Manufacturing Eng Department in a variety of quality improvement areas such as cost reduction projects, Material Review Board and Lean initiatives.
Assisting the planning and management of the ME department to ensure the achievement of department goals and objectives.
Manage employee development of the direct reports in the eng department. Tasks include but are not limited to: training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating, and appraising the performance of personnel.
Support contract review/analysis by identifying quality requirements.
Collect, analyze, and report on manufacturing related statistics and metrics.
Support the Site Manager in other actions as required.

What your background should look like
Skills, Experience and Education:
B.S degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
5 or more years of Engineering Management Experience.
Thorough knowledge of Problem-Solving tools (8D at the minimum), DMAIC, PDCA, Ability to apply various failure analysis techniques to isolate failures down to the root cause.
Knowledge of process improvement techniques and methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean) and quality tools (e.g. SPC, Capability Analysis, GRR, and FMEA, CP, PPAP, FAI, and Safe Launch).
Ability to interface effectively internally and externally.
Ability to communicate plans and issues with all levels of management and customers (e.g., formal quality presentations).
Capable of project management; design and implementation of experiments/tests and problem solving in advanced technology research and development.
Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint).
Self-motivated, driven personality and a team player.
Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment is highly desired.
Must be US person or PRC holder as position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) access to products and technology controlled under the ITAR & EAR.

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $120,600 - $ 184,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
