As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Tacoma, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy manufacturing location, you will support access control by verifying credentials, managing entry and exit points, and maintaining clear visitor and delivery logs. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and communicate quickly with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering great customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, with a culture rooted in agility, reliability, innovation, integrity, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.

Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification and/or access credentials, managing visitor check-in processes, and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas.

Monitor alarms, cameras, access control systems, and radio traffic, and document security-related activities and observations in accordance with site requirements.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or theft, and report maintenance or operational concerns observed during rounds.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.

Be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
