Job Title: 1st Shift Shipping Clerk Job Description

Join a dynamic distribution company specializing in automotive parts as a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker. This role requires flexibility with start times ranging from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM, and ending around 2 PM or 3 PM.

Responsibilities

Receive and restock inventory efficiently.

Dispatch and manage overstock materials.

Load and unload materials from trucks safely.

Break down boxes and package items for shipment.

Utilize order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders accurately.

Assist Warehouse Supervisors with various tasks as needed.

Package items for shipment following company standards.

Pick orders using stairs to reach materials for the automotive industry, handling rolling stairs ranging from 7 to 15 steps.

Essential Skills

Proficient in using RF scanners and order pickers.

Experience with packing, packaging, and pallet jack operation.

Skilled in loading and unloading materials.

Knowledge of inventory and shipping & receiving processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally.

Comfortable utilizing rolling safety ladders, about 5-7 steps, with occasional use of a 15 ft stair ladder.

Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Capable of standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, and reaching with hands and arms.

Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or squat.

Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

Experience a high-noise environment due to forklift activity, requiring mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. Dress code includes plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toe shoes. Utilize stairs and RF scanners throughout the workday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
