The ESSA Administrative Consultant will be an integral member of the ESSA Support team offering guidance and leadership.
Your Responsibilities:
Serve as a leader on the school improvement ESSA team supporting consultants who are serving ESSA identified Comprehensive (CSI) schools. Work in collaboration with Department and AEA staff to coordinate and oversee service to schools.
Guide teams at each stage of support for the E-CSI and CSI, creating consistency across processes while promoting differentiated support. Establish on-site schedules. Coordinate internal collaboration / professional learning.
Lead site visits and provide ongoing support for implementation.
Assist with analysis of implementation data. Organize trainings; locations, providers, contracts, etc.
Maintain a working knowledge of the state and federal policy and the impact of proposed legislation on the bureaus and the programs it oversees.
Maintain professional competency through review of professional research, on-site visitation of programs and continuing education activities. Participate in professional activities of Bureau, Division, Department, and national and state organizations. This work includes regular participation in bureau and division meetings, school improvement activities, assigned work teams, and other duties as assigned.

Experience in large-scale project implementation.
Experience in program evaluation.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday; some nights and weekends, occasional in-state and out-of-state travel

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
1) Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, and experience equal to five years of full-time, professional-level work in program administration, development, management, or operations.
2) A combination of a total of nine years of education and full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university course work may substitute for one year of full-time experience.
3) Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in social work, law, education, engineering, or public or business administration, and experience equal to three years of full-time, professional-level work in program administration, development, management, or operations.
4) Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes two years of full-time work as an Education Program Consultant.
