Job Title: 2nd Shift - Production Worker Job Description

Join our team as a 2nd Shift Production Worker, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring products are properly packaged and stacked. The position operates from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm with potential for schedule variations. Be part of a dynamic production environment, contributing to the success of our operations.

Responsibilities

Inspect and hand stack cases on skids or mods using the specified stacking pattern.

Shrink wrap skids from top to bottom without placing shrink wrap on the floor.

Notify the Operator or Supervisor of any problems or concerns.

Prepare and clean the work area, ensuring it is organized.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and replace tape on tape machines while wearing Kevlar gloves.

Feed boards into the Extruder with perfect alignment, removing any imperfections.

Disassemble, clean, and reassemble extruders as needed, following all safety procedures.

Perform screen checks and provide relief crew coverage as required.

Engage in physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and cleaning to maintain productivity.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in the English language.

Good time management skills.

Ability to work independently and in a group environment.

Knowledge of lockout procedures.

Metal Sprint Team Training.

Experience in machine disassembly and reassembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Proper use of safety equipment and adherence to safety protocols.

Ability to identify damaged or dirty boards and candy.

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a climate-controlled food manufacturing plant with slippery and wet floors. Employees must wear company-issued uniforms, ear plugs, bump caps, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and slip-resistant safety toe shoes. The commitment period is 6 months, with opportunities for overtime as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
