Software Engineer Intern

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer Intern to support the design and development of solutions in defense of our most critical systems.

All work is onsite in Herndon, VA. Candidates must be US Citizens with an active US Security Clearance or US Citizens eligible to obtain a Security clearance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform software development and engineering tasks to include requirements engineering, coding, testing, verification/validation and more.

Contribute to Multi-cloud Management Solution and Tactical Edge Solution development

Work with Principal Investigators to support 5G and cloud work through research and data collection/analysis

Basic Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen with an active US Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain a US Security Clearance

Full-Time student currently pursuing a BS degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering with a graduation date no earlier than May 2027

Work or academic experience with software development, scripting and/or systems engineering

Experience with requirement definition and problem solving

Strong analytical skills; exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

Completed at least 3 semesters of IT related course work (CS, EE, MIS, etc.)

Current Active Secret or Top Secret clearance

Clearance Requirements:

*U.S. Citizen with an active US Security Clearance or eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance

Physical Requirements:

*Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

*Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

*Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
