Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician, working on a night shift from 7pm to 5:30am, Monday through Thursday. You will be responsible for executing preventative, predictive, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on all equipment within our operations, ensuring seamless production and safety.

Responsibilities

Execute preventative, predictive, and TPM on all equipment through assigned work orders in the CMMS and TPM card system.

Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

Test electrical systems and circuits in wiring, equipment, and fixtures using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and more.

Collaborate with and train coworkers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Plan the layout and installation of utilities, equipment, and fixtures based on job requirements and specifications.

Utilize various tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.

Work from ladders, scaffolds, power construction equipment, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Maintain records and files, prepare reports, and order parts and supplies.

Identify issues in complex electrical systems, isolate problems, and resolve them.

Read and analyze electrical blueprints, ensuring functionality before implementation.

Essential Skills

Experience in automation and artificial intelligence.

Proficiency with VFDs and servo controls.

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.

Proficiency with devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, computers, infrared cameras, hand tools, and more.

Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution-driven skills.

Excellent understanding of safety rules in an industrial setting.

Familiarity with industrial and electrical codes.

Availability to work late or weekends as needed.

Experience with Microsoft Office 2013.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to use deductive reasoning, logic, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with pneumatics, 3-phase wiring, and sprockets.

Proficiency in using equipment such as tractors, scissor lifts, forklifts, lathes, welders, end mills, and hydraulic presses.

Work Environment

Work in a 600,000 sq ft cabinet-making manufacturing facility that is not climate-controlled. Utilize a variety of tools and equipment in a dynamic and hands-on environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kinston, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
