Platform Technical Account Manager (TAM). In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to a select group of key Public Sector customers, providing the hands-on technical and architectural guidance necessary to optimize their Red Hat infrastructure.
As a TAM, you will act as a trusted advisor, cultivating deep technical expertise of your customers' unique environments to anticipate challenges and mitigate risks before they arise. You will provide a premium level of proactive support. You'll be tailoring solutions to specific mission requirements, facilitating collaboration with third-party vendors, and fiercely advocating for your customers' needs within Red Hat.
What you will do:
Perform technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues
Gain an understanding of customers' technical infrastructure and environment, hardware, and products
Partner closely with Red Hat Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Support teams to debug, test, and resolve issues
Provide advice and guidance to customers about their current and future Red Hat products
Advise customers on the architectural design and maintenance of Red Hat Satellite and IdM deployments to ensure scalable system management and secure identity lifecycle.
Manage customer use cases and maintain clear and concise case documentation
Manage customer cases, maintain clear and concise case documentation, and deliver value to customers through documenting and sharing learnings from cases through a defined knowledge management process
Serve as the customer's advocate within Red Hat
What you will bring:
4+ years of Linux or UNIX system administration experience
Prior experience in a support, development, engineering, or quality assurance organization
Technical knowledge of the Linux kernel and Linux file system
Proven experience managing large-scale Linux environments using Red Hat Satellite (content management, provisioning, and patching).
Hands-on experience with Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) or FreeIPA, including Kerberos, LDAP, and DNS integration.
Ability to manage and grow existing enterprise customer relationships by delivering proactive, relationship-based support
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Ability to convey complex information to customers clearly and concisely
Ability to manage multiple issues and projects with an eye for detail
Hands-on experience with a variety of hardware vendors
Experience in system management, cloud, or server virtualization is a plus
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline, preferably computer science or engineering
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is a plus and will be required once hired
OpenShift and Ansible experience also a plus
Active US security clearance is an advantage and will be supported
Experience in public sector is a plus
The salary range for this position is $106,100.00 - $169,640.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
