Provides administrative and scheduling support for a high volume of patients - both new/prospective and current/established - while facilitating communication across the care team and organization. Handles calls, emails, faxes, and in-basket messages from patients, providers, and leadership to ensure timely, compassionate, and accurate service.
Location: Los Angeles County, CA
Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $18-22/hr
Contract (5 months, possible extension)
Duties & Responsibilities
Schedule and manage patient appointments using established guidelines.
Relay information accurately between patients, providers, care teams, and leadership.
Respond to inbound calls, emails, faxes, and in-basket messages; make outbound calls as needed.
Process referrals in accordance with departmental policies and business rules.
Identify and appropriately manage crisis situations.
Collect and record caller data accurately during interactions.
Maintain filing systems and input data into computer programs.
Research information and support internal organizational communication.
Promote a positive image of the organization through professional and courteous interactions.
Experience & Skills
2+ years in a medical office, healthcare setting, or call/contact center.
5-10 years of call center experience handling routine inbound and outbound calls.
Familiarity with basic call center procedures, scripts, and customer information systems.
Strong customer service skills with tact, diplomacy, and clear communication.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work well independently and in a team.
Bilingual preferred.
