Description We are looking for a detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will handle critical accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and month-end activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of the organization while engaging in diverse accounting and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate accounts payable management.

Monitor and follow up on past-due customer payments to maintain accounts receivable.

Prepare and post general journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

Perform month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliation.

Manage petty cash reconciliation and ensure proper documentation.

Distribute year-end 1099 forms in compliance with regulations.

Calculate and file quarterly sales tax reports and accruals.

Coordinate breakroom and conference room maintenance as part of office administration.

Serve as a backup for customer billing, including generating invoices and processing bank deposits.

Complete additional projects or tasks as assigned by management. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with a focus on AP and AR.

Proficiency in invoice processing and data entry.

Familiarity with year-end tax forms, including Form 1099.

Experience using Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounting software.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

Knowledge of sales tax filings and accruals.

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors and team members.
