Job Description

We are looking for a Nurse to assist the Immunization Division with vaccination-related activities and outreach. This position will be part-time contract and onsite .

What You'll Do

Assist the IAPD with the SchoolVax inbox for clinical and communication inquiries

Update Vaccine Clinical Education and School Health content for website management

Assist with School Nurse module education and data automation

Conduct Immunizations A to Z training sessions for nursing schools/students or healthcare providers

Conduct Vaccine Education presentations as needed for community, immunization coalitions, and patient navigators to improve vaccine confidence

Assist QMEC to update and organize content for learning management system modules

Serve as a vaccinator and registration coordinator for immunization clinics.

Report on CDC grant activities

Collaborate with the Adult Educator to develop educational materials targeting adult populations

Participate and assist in stakeholder workgroups to share information, identify gaps in coverage, plan outreach activities, and collaborate on vaccination efforts

Build, enhance, and network with trusted community partners and organizations to improve vaccine confidence and access

Support vaccine-preventable disease outbreak response efforts, as requested

What You'll Need

Required:

Valid Indiana Driver's License

Access to reliable transportation

Current, unencumbered Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, community health, public health, or closely-related field, with at least two (2) years documented experience providing clinical services and participating on a clinical team; OR Associate's Degree in Nursing with at least four (4) years documented experience providing clinical services and participating on a clinical team

Working knowledge of the core functions and essential services of public health

Understanding of population-based health indicators, determinants of health, and factors influencing health services utilization

Demonstrated experience delivering professional presentations to medical and general audiences in virtual or in-person settings

Physical Demands

Hybrid work environment: expectation is to be in-office one day a week, with remaining work done at a designated work station

PRN position with hours initially ranging from 20-30 per week, adjusted as needed

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
