Job Description: As our Sales Account Manager, you will be managing commercial activities at existing and new customers to satisfy corporate mid-term and long term growth objectives. You will also Identify and develop new accounts and applications in designated markets and communicate and coordinate business development. Benefits Competitive compensation with bonuses Great health benefits Paid time off Paid company holidays Strong company match to 401(k) contributions Tuition reimbursement program Paid parental leave Job Tasks Manage all business with customers Grow sales according to plan at current customers and prospects Manage customer pricing, forecast, and relationships Identify all customer requirements and needs and expand sales according to plan Identify future customer requirements and ways to add value and help customers Create value package for customer and leverage value for profitable growth Develop contacts with customers at all functions and levels including purchasing, production, logistics, marketing, sales, research and development and technical service Develop full understanding of Asahi Plastics products Ability to participate and conduct technical and marketing presentations at customers meetings Balance short term and long term objectives effectively within segment to delivery year over year growth Responsible for profit and loss of managed accounts Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licensures, and Certifications) Deep understanding of Japanese business culture and practices is essential for success in this role Language: Fluent in English and Japanese (written and verbal) BS in engineering or business with 3 years of experience in plastics, resins, or automotive-related market development, application development Preferred experience in sales/marketing in the Automotive/Chemical industry Required Skills MS Office, Salesforce, and SAP Ability to plan ahead to manage potential barriers and obstacles in maintaining progress towards set objectives Drive multiple programs concurrently; Prioritize time effectively to maintain focus on new growth for Asahi Plastics Work Environment / Physical Demands / Travel Office environment Sits, walks, stands sometimes, lifts occasionally Travel up to 50% of the time, domestic, 5-10% international * Due to business needs, able to have meetings during the evening #LI-LH1 #Hybrid As an equal opportunity employer, Asahi Kasei believes a diverse workforce will provide us with the ability to continuously support the changes in the economy, society, and environment.
