Aircraft Maintenance Research Analyst Research/Data Analyst Sr Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Dayton, Ohio

HX5 is currently seeking a Aircraft Maintenance Researcher Analyst to join our team in support of the KC-46 Tanker Program Office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Collect data from various USAF operating systems, identify positive and negative trends and report detailed information using graphs, charts, and spreadsheets as required.

Examine and validate the accuracy of the USAF maintenance data to include Program Depot Maintenance Scheduling System (PDMSS), and Logistics Evaluation Assurance Program (LEAP) to ensure that it produces meaningful information.

Collaborate and coordinate with USAF organizations to improve the accuracy of data inputs to ensure desired outcomes.

Utilize scientific inquiry in the independent development of mathematical models and computer programs to evaluate and predict aircraft parameter performance using tools such as JMP, MATLAB, Simio, Python, and VBA.

Must have knowledge of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems, including ground-based systems.

Candidate should be able to:

Develop, maintain, and analyze data sets using Excel (10 years' experience with Excel)

Utilize Python for data cleaning, transformation, and automation

Create clear, impactful data visualization and dashboards using Tableau to communicate trends and findings

Perform data analysis to identify operational patterns and performance metrics relevant to mission objectives

Education and Experience: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or Physical Sciences and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.

OR Master's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or Physical Sciences and twelve (12) years of relevant experience, five (5) of which must be in the DoD.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.

Must be able to travel, including air travel.
