Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Comptroller (N8) of EXPED WARFARE TRNG GRP PACIFIC. Responsibilities You will formulate budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will review and evaluate budget requests, and control and report obligations and expenditures. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will provide information about, and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepare summaries for use by managers. You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems. You will conduct analytical, forecasting, and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds. You will track and control funds for special programs. You will perform analytical or program work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications TO QUALIFY FOR GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Formulating complex budget estimates and justifications to support organizational plans and programs; creating various funding documents (e.g., Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), Purchase Requisitions (PRs), or funding agreements) to properly obligate and track funds; completing several ad-hoc data calls by analyzing and interpreting data from multiple financial systems to provide accurate information to senior leadership; and interpreting and applying standard budgetary, accounting, and financial regulations to manage specialized accounting systems and provide technical guidance to stakeholders TO QUALIFY FOR GS-9: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing financial management and budget formulation functions by applying established policies and procedures; creating and processing various financial documents (e.g., Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), Purchase Requisitions (PRs), or funding agreements) to properly obligate funds within an accounting system; analyzing and summarizing complex data sets extracted from financial systems and reports to identify program trends or anomalies; and investigating specific problem areas within accounting system transactions to apply corrective actions. TO QUALIFY FOR GS-9: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: A master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR An LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled; OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
