The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes 200 personnel; fiscal management; communication; technology; legal services; intergovernmental relations; services for the trial courts; and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Interim Chief Administrative Officer Aaron Hood, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.
Salary: The salary for this position traditionally starts at $54,000 but may be commensurate with education and/or experience.

About the Job:
This position serves as a Legal Analyst with the Office of General Counsel. The Office of General Counsel provides legal services to the Indiana judiciary. These services include several programs such as the language access program, the Indiana conference for legal education opportunity, the senior judge program, and managing public records requests for the Office of Judicial Administration. As the Legal Analyst for the office of General Counsel, the position assists with the management of public records requests, processing of judicial security requests, and other administrative duties associated with internal programs.
A Day in the Life:
Perform paralegal and administrative support activities for the General Counsel, Deputy General Counsels and Program Managers. The Legal Analyst assists the Office of General Counsel with duties, such as creating/maintaining spreadsheets, preparing orders, drafting correspondence, and organizing various administrative processes.
Additional responsibilities for the Office of General Counsel include, but are not limited to:
Return phone calls and assist with voicemails
Manage and process judicial security requests associated with SB291
Administrative support with the processing of public records requests
Provide administrative support for the language access program
Assist with the processing and management of 53.1/53.2 requests
Serve as a backup on senior judge claim and special judge claim processing
Draft, process, and finalize orders
Send out vendor requirements for new contractors
Assist with insurance audits on existing contracts
Assist with the drafting and management of contracts and the contract repository
Provide administrative support for the Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunities (ICLEO) program
Additional duties as assigned
