Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician 2 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL .

What you will get to do:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, belt replacement, and filter changes on pumps, fans, and motors.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in machinery and equipment, such as low-voltage motors, controls, and drives.

Work independently or collaboratively with other technicians to identify system issues, determine root causes, and recommend areas for improvement.

Assist engineers with the design, installation, and commissioning of product support equipment, machinery, and systems.

Conduct regular inspections to assess maintenance needs, prevent equipment breakdowns, and ensure optimal performance of facility equipment and machinery.

Read and interpret technical documentation, such as prints, diagrams, specifications, manufacturer manuals, and engineering drawings.

Basic Qualifications for the Manufacturing Technician 2:

High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or an Associate's degree in a related technical field.

Experience with mechanical systems, including gears, bearings, alignment, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Basic Electrical experience, including motor control, electrical distribution, and machinery installation.

Experience using hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as grinders, drills, or saws

Ability to work from ladders and elevated areas.

Capability to lift up to 45 pounds during a standard work shift.

Experience with computer and automated systems (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Access, MRP)

Preferred Qualifications for the Manufacturing Technician 2:

5+ years related experience

Hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining HVAC equipment

Experience soldering and brazing copper piping.

Primary Level Salary Range: $49,100.00 - $81,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
