These are not things that any one Lion, club or district can do alone. But together, we can. We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team and rise to the challenge of empowering service.

Position Highlights:

Participate in month end closing procedures, including the reconciliation of grants, donations, and restricted funds as well as preparation of month-end journal entries. This role will also play a significant part in the budget and forecast process, the annual audit, and annual tax return preparation. Communication and collaboration with other departments/divisions in the organization is a key component in this role. Special ad hoc reporting as needed.

What You'll Do:

Prepare, verify and control the entering of selected journal entries to the general ledger.

Monthly account reconciliations, analysis, and related journal entry preparation and posting.

Assist in reviewing and updating monthly closing procedures.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management and the Board of Trustees. Reviews and analyzes variances and provides commentary.

Provide support for the coordination and reporting of the budget and forecast.

Prepare periodic cash flow analysis.

Produce analysis of special year-end items (e.g., allowance for uncollectible pledges).

Compile selected schedules for external auditors.

Provide support for tax preparation and year-end reporting.

Assist in reviewing and updating procedures and internal controls.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations as appropriate to field.

We're Looking for Someone With:

BS or BA in Accounting/Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.

A Minimum two to three years' related experience.

Strong Communication Skills

Effective Technology Application (Advanced Excel, experience to ERP software systems such as SAP) a plus.

Compensation : Exempt: $75,000 - $85,000
