Description

We are looking for a skilled Family Law Attorney to join our team on a contract basis in San Diego, California. This role focuses on family law, requiring expertise in handling cases from initial filing to resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism while navigating emotionally sensitive situations.

Responsibilities:

Manage family law cases independently, overseeing all phases from filing to resolution.

Draft and prepare various legal documents such as pleadings, petitions, summons, marital settlement agreements, and mandatory disclosures.

Handle active litigation processes, including discovery, motion practice, and developing case strategies.

Monitor and maintain deadlines and court schedules with minimal supervision.

Collaborate effectively with partners and support staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to firm standards.

Uphold professionalism and empathy in high-conflict and emotionally challenging cases.

Requirements

Licensed Attorney with active membership in the California State Bar.

At least 5 years of experience practicing family law.

Demonstrated experience handling at least 50 family law cases from start to finish.

Familiarity with California family law courts and local rules.

Proficiency in drafting pleadings, petitions, and other family law documents.

Proven ability to work independently and manage assignments autonomously.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively in emotionally sensitive and high-conflict situations.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
