Elayn Hunt Correctional Center is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Administrative Coordinator to join our team and support the vital operations of one of Louisiana's largest correctional facilities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values public service, and is committed to contributing to the safety, efficiency, and integrity of our institution. Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Develops and maintains document-imaging proceduresto ensure accurate and efficient digital recordkeeping; oversees the imaging workflow, maintains detailed logs of scanned files, and may serve as a lead worker providing guidance and support to other imaging staff.
Prepares and processes supply requisitions, including entering and tracking information in automated systems; ensures timely ordering and availability of materials needed for daily operations.
Provides comprehensive administrative support to a manager, including managing calendars, coordinating travel arrangements, drafting correspondence, issuing directives on the manager's behalf, and independently handling routine administrative matters to support effective office operations.
Assists with core administrative functionssuch as property control, purchasing, safety compliance, and other operational tasks, while continuing to perform essential clerical responsibilities as assigned.

Appointment Type: PROBATION, or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT, CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE
Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
