Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Stress Analysis Engineer. In this role, you will perform stress analysis, detail part sizing, and strength assessment of aircraft secondary structure and systems; perform analysis and trade studies to evaluate and compare structural efficiency and weight of various structural arrangements and concepts; and perform strength analysis to support and certify new and existing designs by sizing, releasing drawings, and preparing analysis reports.

The successful candidate will be proficient in problem-solving/analytical ability and use of mathematical skills. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
Proficient in problem-solving/analytical ability and use of mathematical skills
Experience with Finite Element Analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
