This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for a Sales Manager.

The Sales Manager position for Big Sandy is located in the MidCentral region (open to MI, IN, OH and KY).

In this role, you'll be responsible for creating and implementing a detailed sales strategy to increase revenue, market share, volume, and profitability by providing dedicated support to a key strategic trade customer in the MidCentral Region. Your main focus will be building relationships and expanding the business through long-term strategic initiatives. You will use insights-driven selling techniques and joint business planning to drive sales by providing proactive in-store support. This includes meeting and collaborating with trade partners to strategically plan programming and marketplace investment funding for mutual business growth. This role requires up to 75% travel to all current and future markets where Big Sandy operates.

Your responsibilities will include

Build and maintain strong relationships with the buying team, executive leadership, store management, and sales associates of Big Sandy

Develop pricing, programming, marketing plans, and sales execution strategies

Deliver revenue, margin, and share goals and accurate volume forecasts

Manage allowances and local merchandising funds to maximize return on investment

Share best practices and lead special projects as needed within the region and channel team

Minimum requirements

Bachelor's Degree

3+ years of strategic selling and negotiating experience

Preferred skills and experiences

Experience leveraging strong customer relationships to develop and grow business

Experience using data to influence decisions across senior stakeholders and leaders

Experience delivering persuasive presentations

Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets

Knowledge of professional sales process and insights-driven selling

Familiarity with the retail distribution channel

Familiarity with the contract distribution channel in the single-family, multi-family, and authorized contract distributor segmentsRSRWH
