Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Watsonville, California. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and optimizing accounting processes. Responsibilities:

Oversee month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.

Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Conduct detailed account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Perform bank reconciliations to verify financial transactions and balances.

Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations.

Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.

Continuously improve accounting processes for greater efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (desired not required)

Proven experience in a senior accounting role with month-end close responsibilities.

Strong proficiency in managing general ledger and journal entries.

Expertise in account and bank reconciliations.

Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting tools.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
