Maintenance Mechanic - Fort Worth, TX

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components within our corrugate manufacturing plant. Welding and machining experience is a plus.

This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to restore equipment to proper operation while supporting all areas of Manufacturing.

The pay range for this position is 30.53 to $42.68 per hour, depending on skill level.

We operate on 12-hour shifts, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, including a 3-day weekend every other week, with additional overtime opportunities available.

How You Will Impact WestRock

\u2022 Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems, including programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment.

\u2022 Perform work requiring in-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories, local/national electrical codes, material properties, and principles of electronic equipment operation.

\u2022 Install, start up, and shut down equipment following company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.

\u2022 Advise operators and mechanics on safe procedures for working with mechanical and electrical components.

\u2022 Communicate potential mechanical/electrical issues and associated safety risks to management and line mechanics.

\u2022 Maintain required performance and maintenance records for assigned equipment.

\u2022 Perform preventive maintenance tasks as directed.

\u2022 Assist with technical troubleshooting and support fellow maintenance team members.

\u2022 Train other maintenance and technical employees as needed.

\u2022 Perform additional duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed

\u2022 Ability to work overtime as required.

\u2022 Proven experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with high proficiency in these areas.

\u2022 Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic components and diagnostic instruments.

\u2022 Computer and PLC experience required.

\u2022 High precision skills and ability to work within tight tolerances.

\u2022 Ability to work in overhead areas, under machines, and in confined spaces.
