Job Summary
Join the Department of Public Works, Engineering Division, as a key contributor to one of the County's most impactful programs. This position serves as the primary point of contact for the Road Impact Fee Program, supporting residents, developers, and internal partners by assessing fees, answering inquiries, and ensuring the program is consistently applied. You'll take the lead in maintaining program forms and processes, coordinating credit agreements and resolutions, updating program materials, and keeping the program's web content current and accurate. You will participate in the updates of the Major Transportation Corridors Plan, the Fee Program Study, and other program documents. This role plays a central part in supporting the *Road Impact Fee Advisory Committee** by preparing meeting materials, facilitating meetings, and capturing meeting notes that help guide future program improvements.
This position blends customer service, technical coordination, scheduling, and administrative support. You'll be responsible for reviewing plans, managing procurement needs, tracking equipment and materials, analyzing data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with schedules. You will also support day-to-day Division operations and help maintain organized records and documentation.
Additionally, you will plan and coordinate project workflow, track milestones, handle accounting and recordkeeping, and keep Leadership informed of program and project progress.*
Due to the nature of the role and its operational responsibilities, this position is not eligible for a hybrid or remote work schedule, as it requires full-time, on-site presence.
The primary work location for this position is at the Regional Development Center (2880 International Circle)
**Hiring Range: $66,000.00 - $72,000.00 annually
This position has an anticipated work schedule of Monday -- Friday, 7:30am -- 4:30pm; subject to change.*

Responsible for developing and overseeing detailed integrated project and maintenance schedules for an assigned Division of the Department of Public Works (DPW). Responsible for developing, planning, and scheduling project workflow and procurement; identifies required materials, tools, and equipment. Responsible for managing Work Management and Asset Management Systems for assigned Division. Oversees and tracks the status of projects and programs, ensures projects and programs meet scheduled milestones; communicates project and program status and deviations to Leadership. Performs administrative duties in support of the Division as needed. Employment is subject to the terms, conditions, and policies detailed in the Personnel Policies Manual (PPM). This position requires regular in-person presence as an essential job function.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Develops, oversees, and maintains daily, weekly, monthly, and annual program schedules for the assigned Division utilizing best practices.
Identifies relationships, milestones, and constraints for projects and programs of various @types.
Responsible for developing, planning, and scheduling project and program workflow and procurement in collaboration with Division Leadership.
Analyzes level of service and production data for assigned projects and programs; performs mathematical calculations to determine materials, tools, and human resource requirements to meet scheduled milestones.
Identifies required materials, tools, and equipment for projects; orders materials, tools, and equipment in coordination with the Resource Management Division; tracks materials, tools, and equipment ordered.
Reviews work orders and customer service requests for accuracy; ensures all labor, parts, and materials have been invoiced prior to closing; closes work orders and customer service requests once complete.
Responsible for overseeing and tracking the status of projects and programs; ensures projects and programs meet scheduled milestones. Communicates project and program status and schedules with Division Leadership and internal and external customers.
Identifies, oversees, and communicates schedule deviations to Division Leadership. Evaluates schedule deviations and provides recommendations to ensure compliance with daily, weekly, monthly, and annual schedules.
Monitors expected and unforeseen events that could negatively impact daily operations; reports those events to the Division Leadership, provides recommendations, and modifies schedules as necessary.
Develops and maintains conceptual schedules for programmatic maintenance, including multi-year maintenance and replacement programs.
Coordinates with Division Leadership and El Paso County Human Resources to schedule and track evaluations and interviews.
Provides administrative support to the Division, including answering phones, data entry, managing purchase card programs, updating service level agreements, conducting inventory audits, scheduling and renewal of certifications, and employee licensing.
Establishes and maintains records and filing systems for assigned Division projects and programs.
Provides the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
Compiles and analyzes data and provides requested information and reports; prepares presentations or reports as needed.
Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of construction and/or fleet operations and management-related issues, as well as related project and program scheduling.
Must possess excellent customer service, organizational, planning, and administrative skills.
