Summary About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at McAlester, Oklahoma. This position serves as supervisor over the Blocker and Bracer Operation Works exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations in planning distribution, prescribing deadlines and day-to-day operations. Responsibilities Establish deadlines and set priorities based on daily assignments. Review work in progress and upon completion. Ensure all personnel, materials and equipment required for operations are at designated work site. Explain all work requirements, methods, procedures, specific hazards and safety precaution to all personnel. Examine and secure freight for shipment or storage. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Blocker and Bracer Supervisor without more than normal supervision. Must possess the ability to perform common technical and administrative supervisory duties. I can prioritize workload based off priorities and future deadlines; implement training plans; and perform blocker and bracer operations. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Lead or Supervise Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a Transportation and Distribution Management position Career Field position. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Recruitment, Relocation, and Retention Incentives are not authorized Relocation (Government Home Sale) Expenses are not authorized. This position may require overtime work. This position may require you to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing. This position may require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
