Job Posting: Permanent Accounts Payable Clerk

Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their organization on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to become a trusted member of the finance team, contributing to smooth daily operations and supporting ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices efficiently and accurately

Manage weekly check runs and electronic payments

Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions

Support month-end and year-end accounting activities

Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and maintain positive working relationships

Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and internal controls

Qualifications:

Experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting support role

Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Certificate or diploma in accounting or finance preferred

Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

Proficiency in invoice coding and processing.

Familiarity with check runs and electronic payment systems.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data entry.

Effective communication skills for interaction with vendors and team members.

Ability to meet deadlines and handle time-sensitive financial tasks.

Knowledge of corporate credit card reconciliation processes.

Understanding of 1099 form preparation and compliance requirements.
