CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer II opening for our client.

Overview:
The Software Engineer II provides design, analysis, and technical direction in the development and enhancement of new or existing applications. This role serves as a principal application designer for moderate to complex system modifications, leveraging strong analytical and technical skills to evaluate business requirements and deliver sound, scalable solutions. The Software Engineer II may support day-to-day application operations, contribute to special projects, and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete and oversee basic to complex systems analysis, design, and development activities.
Serve as a key individual contributor on complex initiatives and enhancements.
Maintain a strong functional understanding of supported applications and related business processes.
Direct and monitor less experienced resources; coordinate development tasks on small to large scope projects.
Prepare and manage the technical components of project plans.
Collaborate with development, operations, and technology teams throughout the full SDLC, from technical analysis through user acceptance testing.
Prepare and review test data, execute detailed test plans, and perform debugging as required.
Analyze complex interrelationships among programs, interfacing applications, and platforms.
Provide analytical consulting and technical leadership to identify and implement new technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
Develop and maintain clear technical and functional specifications, diagrams, and systems documentation.
Review documentation prepared by less experienced staff.
Prepare and review project assessments, including task definitions, timelines, and effort estimates.
Ensure efficient operation, stability, and effectiveness of supported applications.
Recommend new technologies, policies, or processes to improve performance and address deficiencies; participate in vendor software evaluations as needed.
Adhere to and promote development standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Maintain an understanding of the business domain, including functions, processes, operations, and strategic direction.
Assist, as needed, with expense and capital budget planning.
Comply with company risk, regulatory standards, policies, and internal controls; escalate risk-related issues appropriately.

Complete other related duties or special projects as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
This position operates under the supervision of a Technology Team Lead and works independently across all high-level systems analysis and technical development phases. The role may manage project-based activities for small to large initiatives and lead assigned project efforts. The Software Engineer II interacts with senior management, technology teams, business stakeholders, and vendors, and may represent technology on committees or ad-hoc initiatives as needed.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Project-based coordination and oversight of less experienced technical staff.
No direct people management responsibilities.
Education and Experience Required:
Salesforce Platform development experience, including Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
Understanding of nCino LOS functionality and banking processes.
Experience with Agile delivery methodologies, problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration.
Minimum of an Associate's degree with 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience.
Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms.
Proficiency with personal computers and standard project management, word processing, and spreadsheet tools.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to varied audiences.
Detail-oriented with strong lateral thinking capabilities.
Experience coordinating between application teams and business units.
Proven experience recommending, implementing, and delivering systems solutions and project milestones.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of the bank's application framework.
Subject matter expertise in supported business areas or applications.
Advanced understanding of integrated and interfacing applications.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Strong multitasking skills across multiple components of complex projects.
Action-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Advanced, enterprise-wide system perspective with the ability to contribute beyond standard BAU activities.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $44.99 to $74.98. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
