Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Job Description

The Warehouse Associate will work on the loading dock, moving products from the warehouse into tractor trailers for shipment. This role involves using a scan gun to check products out into the truck manifest, ensuring the trailer's weight is evenly distributed by performing simple addition. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds to organize products onto pallets.

Responsibilities

Move products from the warehouse to tractor trailers for shipping.

Use a scan gun to verify and check products into the truck manifest.

Perform simple addition to ensure even weight distribution in trailers.

Lift and organize products onto pallets, handling up to 50 pounds.

Work outside, throwing chains and straps on flatbeds as needed.

Essential Skills

Experience with loading operations and using RF scanners.

Ability to perform general labor duties in a warehouse setting.

2-3 years of prior shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a distribution warehouse.

Previous knowledge and experience with a pallet jack.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic computer skills.

A good attitude and willingness to learn.

Work Environment

The position is located inside a warehouse that is not temperature controlled, meaning conditions mirror those outside. Employees should be aware of their surroundings due to the presence of forklifts and other warehouse staff. The team consists of 3-4 full-time transportation employees working together.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edwardsville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
