Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Palm Beach, Florida. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a government organization and grow professionally. The ideal candidate will excel in managing invoice processing efficiently while ensuring compliance with established financial procedures.

Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational protocols.

Perform coding of invoices and maintain proper records to streamline financial reporting.

Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payment to vendors and service providers.

Verify invoice details and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate financial data.

Utilize proprietary municipal software for accounts payable tasks, ensuring seamless operations.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper expense allocation and compliance.

Maintain organized documentation and records to support auditing and financial analysis.

Participate in the improvement of accounts payable procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Respond to vendor inquiries and provide support for payment-related issues.

Ensure compliance with local government regulations and financial standards. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and coding.

Proficiency in managing check runs and resolving invoice discrepancies.

Familiarity with proprietary financial software, such as Munis, is preferred.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage high volumes of invoices.

Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Knowledge of local government financial regulations is a plus.

Proficiency in maintaining financial records and documentation.

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
