Accounts Payable Lead

Provide leadership to the accounts payable team, including training and performance evaluations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies. Oversee the processing of invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers, maintaining strong relationships with them. Reconcile accounts payable transactions with general ledger balances, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues to ensure accuracy in financial statements. Contribute to the development and implementation of accounts payable policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and prevent errors and fraud. Process credit applications from vendors and suppliers, handle complex inquiries, and resolve disputes effectively. Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports (including 1099's and AP aging) and metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement. Perform various daily, weekly and month end tasks including AP accruals, payment runs, vendor inquiries and vendor statements.

Qualifications: Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience Experience in processing invoices in an ERP system, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team. Ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements Strong skills in resolving discrepancies and vendor issues, along with the ability to implement process improvements Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Job Type: Full-time, 40 50 hours per week Benefits: 401(k)matching Dental, disability, health, vision and life insurance Employee assistance program Health savings account Paid time off Relocation assistance
