Job Title: Construction Project Manager IVJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager IV to oversee and manage onsite construction, commissioning, and turnover of data center fit-out projects. This remote position is available in PST, MST, or CST time zones, with occasional travel required to project sites located in California and possibly Arizona. The selection process includes a 30-minute screening and a 45-minute panel interview focused on technical problem-solving and partnership.
Responsibilities
Manage onsite construction, commissioning, and turnover of data center fit-out projects in leased properties.
Support the Lead Construction Manager in contractor, designer, and vendor management.
Own the construction scope including retrofits of existing data halls and build-outs of new spaces within the leased portfolio across North America.
Coordinate projects between contractors, landlords, consultants, and cross-functional partners.
Provide construction leadership by developing and maintaining strong relationships with cross-functional partners, consultants, vendors, landlords, and contractors.
Identify, define, and gain cross-functional alignment around opportunities to drive efficiency through innovation, process, and accountability.
Plan and scope projects by working with cross-functional partners and internal customers to identify sequence and package work scopes for execution.
Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules with support from Project Controls and Scheduling.
Manage the cost change process and negotiate best pricing in partnership with cross-functional team members concerning cost and schedule.
Manage the schedule and associated risks to ensure reliable and predictable turnover dates.
Report on opportunities, risks, and mitigations to ensure predictable delivery of capacity.
Conduct monthly WIP walks to validate work in place for invoicing and regular site walks among contractors, landlords, consultants, and cross-functional partners to track progress and confirm handover conditions are met.
Manage relationships with contractors and designers.
Assist with developing capital project budgets and provide ROM construction cost estimates.
Manage monthly CapEx forecasting for all project-related costs and provide analysis and action plans based on weekly project status reports, financial schedule, and Q/C.
Manage Method of Procedures (MOPs) for any retrofit/remedy work in live data centers.
Facilitate interactions between contractors and third-party QA/QC teams.
Responsible for project closeout and escalate key issues quickly to the Construction Manager.
Promote and model an attitude of continuous improvement, partnership, and teamwork in behaviors and communications.
Support and lead an industry-leading safety culture and program.
Travel approximately 50% to support project sites across North America.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree.
7-10 years of professional experience in construction operations, maintenance, and project planning.
Direct experience with the design or construction of data centers/critical infrastructure.
General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and connectivity systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in different phases.
Mission-critical infrastructure and/or data center construction experience.
Experience in commissioning retrofit and new leased data center build-outs.
Knowledge of CPM scheduling practices and familiarity with Primavera P6 software.
Proficiency in MS Office products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Large CapEx project experience.
Experience in managing critical infrastructure.
Strong project management and construction management skills.
Ability to negotiate and manage project costs effectively.
Work Environment
This role requires travel between project sites in California and Arizona. The position offers a remote work environment in PST, MST, or CST time zones, with a focus on maintaining a collaborative and safety-focused culture at all project sites.

This is a Contract position based out of Menlo Park, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $90.00/hr.
