Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Whippany, New Jersey. This contract position offers an opportunity to oversee key accounting functions within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

Manage monthly and quarterly close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Oversee general ledger activities, including reviewing entries and ensuring proper documentation.

Conduct audits of financial statements to maintain compliance with regulations and standards.

Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial data.

Prepare and review journal entries to support financial reporting.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth accounting operations and adherence to company policies.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.

Maintain and improve accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.

Provide guidance and support to accounting staff at the entry level as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.

Familiarity with conducting audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Expertise in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

Proficiency in preparing and reviewing journal entries.

Ability to analyze financial data and produce accurate reports.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
