While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

FinHub is at the core of Coinbase, processing and recording fund movements for our clients and our business. We are responsible for processing transactions across crypto, fiat and internal wallet, and managing the assets for our users including providing portfolio performance, user tax optimizations etc. With rapid growth of the industry and the company, our scale and complexity of operations quickly surpassed the original design of typical ledgering systems. Currently, we are taking on a challenge to unlock the next level of evolution for fund movements architecture. This is a unique opportunity to redesign foundational systems that will set Coinbase up for success in the next decade.

What you'll be doing (ie. job duties):

Building, testing, and releasing product-facing features with stringent correctness and scalability requirements; these features could be related to market data, trading, accounting, authentication, or security.

Designing a solution with other engineers and the ops team to fix a scalability problem and then implement it

What we look for in you:

2+ years of software engineering experience

Solid understanding of relational databases and transactions

Good intuition for REST API design

$152,405-$179,300 USD
