About the role The Director of Operations is responsible for leading the Bothell site Operations including all manufacturing functions (automation engineering, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, production, and facilities management). This position will report to the Senior Director of Operations and serve as an integral part of the overall Network Solutions operations. Responsibilities Essential Functions Provide the operational leadership and vision driving a cohesive operational strategy and execution to operational objectives. Maintain employee relations to maximize the contribution of each employee in a participative environment. Use discretion and good judgment in decision making within the parameters as defined in company policy, labor laws and government regulations Place the health, safety and welfare of all employees foremost in decision making, policy development, and directing the organization Ensure the availability of goods for the timely delivery to the customer as required. Promote cost improvements without sacrificing quality. Support the new product development process to ensure products are released with high quality and meet cost and production plan objectives. Meet factory level KPIs for quality, service, cost and inventory targets. Additional Responsibilities Review manufacturing capacities to adequately provide for the forecasted demand and propose changes to the senior leadership team when necessary Responsible for developing and managing the annual budget including labor, material and capital requirements. Review and recommend changes to all systems, policies, and procedures as needed to enhance the mission of the organization Oversee the hiring/development of all employees within the Operations function. Review and approve all Operations/Facility documents prior to issuance as necessary Qualifications Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, along with internal and external customers and key stakeholders Teamwork - Ability to work well in a team environment that fosters collaboration and cooperation Delegation - Ability to delegate responsibilities to direct reports and hold them accountable on assigned deliverables and deadlines Leadership - Ability to guide, inspire, and influence others to achieve common goals. This includes setting a vision, making strategic decisions, and motivating a team to work collaboratively Strategic - Ability to anticipate future trends, envision long-term goals, and develop plans to achieve them Problem Solver - Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues that arise to maintain smooth operations and achieve strategic goals Education & Experience Bachelor's degree required; engineering degree preferred Must have managed a minimum of 30 total staff and multiple functions.
