As a Security Officer Armed Roving Driver in Polkton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will conduct visible armed patrols, help to identify and report security-related concerns, and support staff and visitors with clear, respectful communication. This is a driving post, so you may use a vehicle to cover assigned areas and respond to routine calls for assistance. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Perform armed access control duties including verifying identification, managing entry and exit points, and documenting authorized movements according to post orders.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with on-site personnel and/or responding agencies, and providing clear written and verbal reports.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance and operational concerns.

Operate security-related systems and tools such as radios, CCTV, and/or key and equipment control processes; complete logs, incident reports, and shift turnover communications as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

An armed guard card/license is preferred.

A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
